With North India grappling with a biting cold wave, Punjab had earlier decided to extend winter holidays in all government, aided, recognised, and private schools until January 7, 2025. HARSH WINTER PROMPTS HOLIDAY EXTENSION Punjab had initially declared winter holidays from December 24 to 31, 2024, with schools expected to reopen on January 1. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains took to social media, stating, “As per the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, due to cold weather, holidays are being observed in all government, aided, recognised, and private schools of Punjab till January 7.
