Sealdah Division offers Bengal’s GI products through One Station One Product stalls
The HinduThe Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway is promoting West Bengal’s unique local products with the Geographical Identification tag through its ‘One Station One Product’ stalls. At Krishnanagar railway station, another railway station in Nadia district, an OSOP stall is promoting traditional clay idols which are at the examination as GI registry. Senior officers of Sealdah Division said that various local products such as wooden craft items are being sold at Durganagar railway station and jute craft are sold at Barasat railway station through OSOP stalls. ‘One Station One Product’ was introduced in the Union Budget 2022-23 with an aim to “vocal for local” vision of the Union government and providing a market for local indigenous products as an opportunity to railway passengers to experience the rich heritage of India.
