Liquor sale climbs 35% during two days of Diwali in Delhi, 20 lakh bottles consumed

In just two days, liquor sales in Delhi jumped by 35 per cent during Diwali. The Delhiites consumed almost 20 lakh bottles of liquor on Diwali. While the average sale of liquor is usually 11 lakh bottles in Delhi, the sales reached 15 lakh bottles a day before Diwali. Ahead of Diwali, the police also conducted a raid on several restaurants serving liquor without a license.
