Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee writes to META over Facebook bio altercation
Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament Abhishek Banerjee has raised concerns about a breach of privacy involving his official Facebook page. In a letter addressed to META, the parent company of Facebook, Banerjee’s legal representative, advocate Sanjay Basu, alleged unauthorised access to his account and the alteration of his personal information. The complaint highlights that Banerjee’s official Facebook page originally displayed the following bio: "The Official page of Abhishek Banerjee | Member of Parliament | National General Secretary, All India Trinamool Congress." The complaint letter to META also stated serious concern over the unauthorised access to Abhishek Banerjee's verified Facebook account, which carries a "Blue Tick" verification.
