Can online learning be better than campus learning?
Once a niche form of education, online education is now the norm. Previously reserved for those who wanted a cheaper or more flexible form of education primarily working professionals or distance learning students online education is now only medium of education from kindergarten to colleges. Students have more tools to learn at their own pace Online learning means that lessons and lectures can be recorded, stored and played back, ensuring nothing gets missed. While digital learning provides more tools for students to take control over their education, it connects them with educators across the globe, on-campus learning provides crucial life skills and humanistic need fulfillment. Once the world opens back up again, institutes should keep the value added to education provided by online tools and work towards developing ‘blended models’ of learning which provide the right balance of both.
