"Accused Apologized For His Phone Being Misused, Showed Respect & Esteem To CM": Allahabad High Court Grants Bail To Man Accused Of Giving Death Threat To UP CM
Live LawThe Allahabad High Court on Wednesday granted bail to a Truck Driver named Amar Pal Yadav who allegedly sent a WhatsApp message threatening to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath if gangster Mukhtar Ansari was not released within 24 hours. Allegation against Applicant-Accused Allegation against the accused-applicant is that he sent a WhatsApp message on a number associated with UP-112 Helpline from his mobile number making indecent comment against the Chief Minister and, also giving threat that if gangster Mukhtar Ansari was not released within 24 hours, he would kill the Chief Minister. Considering the stands of the accused-applicant, the Bench said, "The fact that he has in unequivocal terms has apologized for his phone being misused and, showed his respect and esteem to the Chief Minister, I find it to be a fit case for grant of bail." In related news, last month, the Allahabad High Court had granted bail to a 25-year-old youth named Kamran Ameen Khan who allegedly sent a WhatsApp message threatening to kill UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath with a bomb.
