New York TimesEAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — With nine practices in the books, the New York Giants are roughly halfway through training camp. McCain, who has 87 career starts, hasn’t seen any reps with the first-team defense since the third practice of camp, and Dane Belton has been the third safety in sub packages lately. Lemieux entered the past two training camps as the starting left guard, but he hasn’t been among the three players to see work at that spot with the first-team offense this summer.
