Security forces recover 10 assault rifles in Arunachal Pradesh

India Today

The Army and Arunachal Pradesh Police recovered a cache of weapons in a joint operation from the Miao-Vijayanagar area in Changland district in Arunachal Pradesh. Security forces conducted an extensive search using drones, tracker dogs and metal detectors, and recovered 10 different types of assault rifles from different locations, making it one of the largest arms recoveries in the region. The Army said that they have received numerous inputs in the past six months regarding attempts by various insurgent groups, including the National Socialist Council of Nagaland and the ENNG cadre, to recover the said cache. "This successful operation underscores the continued dedication of our security forces to maintaining peace and security in the region," the Army said.
