Telangana CM wants comprehensive tourism policy to be prepared by Feb. 10

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials of the Tourism Department to come up with a comprehensive tourism policy for the State by February 10. Once announced, the policy should ensure that there is significant rise in tourists which in turn leads to revenue generation to the State besides attracting domestic as well as international tourists to the State. The focus of the new policy, he said, should be on promoting temple tourism and ecotourism which had high potential to draw prospective tourists to the State. The Chief Minister was particular that officials plan programmes in advance to attract maximum number of tourists to the State during the ensuing Krishna and Godavari Pushkarams.
