Narcotic sniffer dog helps Vizag police seize 30 kg ganja at railway station
India TodayIn a significant drug bust, the Vizag City Police seized approximately 30 kg of ganja at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station with the assistance of a narcotic sniffer dog. On Monday, during a coordinated inspection between the city’s dog squad, the city task force, and the Fourth Town Police, the sniffer dog, Caesar, detected the hidden cannabis. Earlier in the day, the Alluri Sitarama Raju district police deployed drones to conduct an extensive anti-ganja operation, identifying and destroying 3.55 acres of cannabis plantations across 20 locations in Degalarai village, Solabham panchayat, and G Madugula Mandal in Andhra Pradesh. ASR police have already registered 141 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, seizing over 11,618 kg of dry ganja and 3.05 kg of hashish oil.
