ABP News

New Delhi: The last two years have seen a rapid increase in online doctor consultations, and a study has found that doctors dedicated an additional 62 per cent of their time to consult patients beyond committed hours. With Covid leading to more patients embracing telemedicine, online consultations in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities have grown by over 80 per cent in 2022, as per a study. Of the overall online consultations, doctors from Tier 2 cities treating patients from Tier 1 cities have gone up drastically from 3 per cent in FY 2017 to 42 per cent in FY 2022. Dr Gupta of Sarvodaya Healthcare asserted that the widespread availability of internet access have made it easier for doctors in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to connect with patients and provide healthcare services remotely.
