Film room: Stars’ power-play movement, Jason Robertson’s playmaking earn results
New York TimesDALLAS — Jason Robertson has exhausted the English dictionary. To best summarize Robertson’s resume through 35 games this season, a single word would be “unprecedented.” It’s a strong term, but it’s also one that fits Robertson’s campaign without hyperbole. His linemate Roope Hintz found a way to convey the sentiment while giving new meaning to Robertson’s nickname, “Robo.” “Yeah, he has a computer in his head,” Hintz said. “It’s nice to be there and see why he does.” Hintz would know, as he was a direct beneficiary of Robertson’s brilliance twice Friday evening in Dallas’ 4-2 comeback victory over the Canadiens. The Canadiens did the Stars a favor, putting the NHL’s fifth-best power play unit on the ice five times, but Robertson’s playmaking ability helped them capitalize.
