After Jasprit Bumrah, India have incurred another big injury blow, of that of Shreyas Iyer. So far it has been reported that Iyer's recurring back issue might rule him out of the entire IPL 2023 season, but the India batter is more concerned about his participation in the ODI World Cup slated to happen in India in October this year. The news about Iyer's injury has however led to an outrageous reaction from former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja, who had come up with an unusual reason behind its occurrence. Kolkata Knight Riders are also closely following the progress to see if he can be available in the later half of the season, while Iyer has his eyes set of the World Cup. Speaking to Cricbuzz on Iyer's injury, Jadeja was shocked that batters nowadays have developed back issues and feels that excess of gym training might have resulted in this.
