NPRDirector Carson Lund discusses his new movie 'Eephus' NPR's Scott Simon speaks to director Carson Lund about his new movie, "Eephus," about an amateur New England baseball league's last game before their stadium is demolished. SCOTT SIMON, HOST: Late afternoon falls on Soldiers Field, in a small New England town in the mid-1990s, and the middle-aged players of rec league teams called the Riverdogs and Adler's Paint start to fill the dugouts as the town bell tolls. I really wanted this to look like people who live in the region where the film is shot in New England, you know, many different ages. It's one of the few surviving in the New England area that has kind of these very old, still all-wood fences, chipped green paint, has a beautiful press box behind home plate.
