Anthony Albanese REFUSES to let Jim Chalmers Tony Burke transgender playing sport against females

Controversial Liberal candidate is Scott Morrison's 'captain's pick' to run in the Sydney seat of Warringah Mr Albanese was referring to a report that the NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet had texted Mr Morrison to express support for the Prime Minister and Ms Deves after some on the left wing of the NSW Liberal Party had spoken of disendorsing her as a candidate. Mr Albanese refused to allow reporters to question Mr Burke and fellow Labor MP Jim Chalmers about transgender women But Mr Albanese did not let them, saying 'That's why I'm the leader.' Katherine Deves has copped a series of horrific tweets in the wake of the controversy Ms Deves was selected by the Prime Minister as the Liberal candidate for the northern Sydney seat of Warringah, but her position as the Liberal candidate has been attacked on the party's left because of her controversial views on transgender women. A series of now-deleted tweets resurfaced from April 2021 where Ms Deves described transgender kids as 'surgically mutilated and sterilised', and compared her Protect Women's Sport movement to standing up against the Holocaust.
