Andy Murray finds the form to take on Karen Khachanov, the man with no fear

The Telegraph

Earlier this year, an interviewer asked Andy Murray’s next opponent – 21-year-old Russian Karen Khachanov – to name his biggest fear. Taking out the 21st seed John Isner, he maintained the blank expression of a celebrity bodyguard, a job for which his 6ft 6in, 15st frame would more than qualify him. I just find it weird talking about him, because Karen is my mother’s name.” Despite an interest in chess – which he suggested had contributed to his tennis development – Khachanov is not one for overcomplicating the game. He relies on old-fashioned power tactics: 134mph serves and a sizzling forehand, often backing away to unleash that shot from his own backhand corner.
