Govind Pansare murder: Witness depositions to conclude in 9 months, court told
India TodayThe Bombay High Court on Monday was told that the deposition of witnesses in the murder case of communist leader and activist Govind Pansare would be completed within the next nine months. The statement was made by Additional Public Prosecutor Veera Shinde before a bench comprising Justice Anil Kilor while opposing the bail applications of seven accused. Meanwhile, Shinde contended that the deaths of activist Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, scholar MM Kalburgi, and journalist Gauri Lankesh were interconnected, and the murder spree stopped only after all the accused were arrested in the Nalasopara Arms Haul case. After hearing both sides, the bench reserved its order on the bail applications of seven accused--Virendrasinh Tawade, Sachin Andure, Amit Degvekar, Ganesh Miskin, Amit Baddi, Bharat Kurane, and Vasudev Suryavanshi.
