Strike Force Pearl targeting antisemitism reinforced as premier pushes for stronger penalties
ABCNSW Police have officially doubled the investigative resources of Strike Force Pearl, with an additional 40 dedicated investigators. Commissioner Webb said the strike force was initially set up to investigate hateful activity including graffiti and firebombing. "The shift is that the proactive arm will go under Strike Force Pearl, because the activity that comes out of those proactive operations needs to be married with the investigation to ensure that any arrests, any intelligence, neatly melds … to ensure that we can continue to identify those involved," she said. NSW Police said officers were conducting patrols under Strike Force Pearl when they saw a man marking a wall on Anzac Parade at Kingsford at 4:30pm on Friday.
