Anupamaa crew member death: TV body calls it 'institutionalised murder'

The popular television show Anupamaa made headlines last week following a tragic incident on its sets. After a crew member died due to electrocution on the sets, the All India Cine Workers Association has called for justice for the deceased. Suresh Shamlal Gupta, the association's founder and president, has reached out to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, seeking his intervention in the matter. The All India Cine Workers Association which advocates for the safety and security of artists and workers in the Indian film industry has described the death of the 32-year-old crew member on the sets of Anupamaa as 'institutionalised murder caused by the greed and negligence of producers, the production house, and the channel.'
