NCB Officials: Sameer Wankhede’s ’chats’ with Shah Rukh Khan violate rules
Live MintThe alleged chats between IRS officer Sameer Wankhede and Shah Rukh Khan, which Wankhede presented in court as part of his defence, violate conduct rules, informed ANI citing NCB sources. According to the reports, NCB sources state that investigating officers should not engage with the family members of the “accused.” Furthermore, Wankhede supposedly never informed his superiors about these conversations, and he did not provide the phone used for the chats with Shah Rukh Khan. Former NCB Mumbai zone chief Sameer Wankhede has been accused of allegedly demanding a bribe of ₹25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan when his son Aryan Khan was arrested in the drugs-on-cruise case.
