Brisbane Test knock will be career-defining for Rishabh Pant: VVS Laxman
India TodayRishabh Pant would have gained a lot of confidence and clarity about the formula with which he would approach his batting in international cricket after two game-changing knocks in the Test series in Australia last month, according to former India cricketer VVS Laxman. Laxman, speaking on Sports Today, said Pant showcased a lot of maturity in the way he anchored the Indian innings in their record chase of 328 at the Gabba, Brisbane in the 4th Test, adding the young wicketkeeper-batsman learned from the mistake he made in the 3rd Test in Sydney. Rishabh Pant, who was not picked for the series opener in Adelaide, showcased his class with a solid 97 in the 3rd Test as India gave Australia a scare on Day 5. However, on Day 5 of the series-decider in Gabba, Pant mixed caution with aggression wonderfully well as she smashed an unbeaten 89 to help India breach Australia's fortress at the Gabba.
