First ride review: New Street Scrambler
India TodayI love adventure tourers, enduro motorcycles and even the odd MX bike, mostly anything with off-road intent. You'd be forgiven if you can't tell what's new on the 2019 Scrambler, it's far from groundbreaking but there are actually quite a few updated bits. Although, the additional propulsion isn't really something you 're going to feel every time you roll on the throttle, you do notice that the new bike doesn't run out of breath as easily on highways. The new bikes also get two riding modes that deploy Triumph's onboard electronics to maximise traction using engine maps, ABS and traction control settings. Sure, the side-slung exhaust is pretty much a hallmark of a true-blue Scrambler and it really looks like Triumph has put in a sincere effort to make it as amicable as possible, but Indian conditions withstanding it hasn't worked.
