Allu Arjun released on bail from jail in Pushpa 2 screening stampede case

Actor Allu Arjun was freed and moved out of the Chanchalguda jail at 6.35 a.m. on Saturday, a few hours after the Telangana High Court granted him bail for four weeks. On a day of fast-moving developments on Friday, the actor was picked up by the Chikkadpally Police for questioning leading to a frenzy of reactions including politicians slamming the move. The actor was questioned as he has been named in the stampede case at the Sandhya 70 MM theatre during the premiere show of Pushpa-2 where a woman was killed and her son is battling for life in a private hospital. “The concerned Jail Superintendent and concerned Commissioner of Police are directed to ensure that this Order is complied forthwith,” were the words in the HC’s interim bail order.
