GCC to Hike Rents for Community Halls in Chennai

Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has increased the rents for two community halls in Chennai. Amma Arangam and Sir PT Thiyagaraya Kalaiyarangam will be leased to private agencies for five years on a hybrid revenue-sharing model. The new tariffs are expected to generate an annual revenue of Rs 2.22 crore for both halls.
