MUDA scam: Activist says aide of Siddaramaiah's wife threatened him to drop case
India TodaySnehamayi Krishna, on whose complaint a case was filed against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysore Urban Development Authority site allotment scam, alleged that he was threatened and offered financial inducement to settle the case. Krishna, who is one of the complainants in the MUDA land appropriation scam in which Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi was given 14 sites without due diligence, said he refused the offer and filed a complaint with the Lokayukta. According to Krishna, these were intimidation tactics by the Chief Minister’s wife, and accused Parvathi’s supposed aide Harsha and a local journalist Srinidhi of attempting to broker a settlement. In the MUDA site allotment scam, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his wife Parvathi reportedly benefited from alleged irregularities in land allotment.
