The Hindu

The Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board has appointed 50 community participation assistants to expedite the distribution of pending sale deeds to beneficiaries under the Madras Urban Development Plan and the Tamil Nadu Urban Development Plan. The 50 CPAs would directly inspect a total of 12,495 plots located across 322 project areas in Zone 1 to Zone 7 in Chennai. These beneficiaries who were allotted plots under the MUDP and the TNUDP neither possessed sale deeds nor submitted necessary supporting documents for records, a press release said. The field-level data collected by CPAs would be verified by executive engineers and community development officers.
