Time to jazz it up

During weekend days, a series of activities, such as live jazz music performances and flea markets, took place in Qingdao. Winter Jazz Town, a monthlong music event in Qingdao, Shandong province, wrapped up at the former site of the Belgian consulate on Jan 7. From Dec 1 to Jan 7, over 30 jazz musicians gave 45 concerts in Qingdao, according to the event organizer, China-Belgium Art Culture Society. "It's the first time that the jazz music event took place in Qingdao, which combined music and tourism, appealing to young people," said Wang Xiaolei from China-Belgium Art Culture Society. China-Belgium Art Culture Society has launched a series of jazz events since July, such as a jazz music festival in October, which attracted a large number of audiences.
