Being in opposition is good thing for Congress: Dinesh Gundu Rao

Bengaluru: Dinesh Gundu Rao, president of the Congress party in Karnataka has had a rough year in office. However, according to Rao, the defeat in the bypolls and Congress' place in the opposition could be a good thing for a party trying to beat back the B.S.Yediyurappa-led Bharatiya Janata Party, that won 12 out of the total 15 seats that went to the polls. The Congress and JD weren’t going to come together to form the government and maybe voters thought there is no alternative. Now there is a lot of clarity and helps us focus on the next three years, make use of our talent pool, strengthen our party and work for the people.
