USWNT’s Christen Press, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, more demand USSF release findings of Rory Dames investigation

New York Times

A group of U.S. women's national team members sent a letter to the U.S. Soccer Federation demanding the release of its findings into misconduct allegations against Rory Dames, a former coach at the youth level and with the NWSL's Chicago Red Stars. The letter was sent one day after The Washington Post published a story detailing allegations of verbal and emotional abuse against Dames, mostly during his days coaching his Chicago Eclipse youth team. Christen Press, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, Sam Mewis, Tobin Heath, Crystal Dunn, Kelley O'Hara and Becky Sauerbrunn signed the letter sent to USSF president Cindy Parlow Cone and former president Carlos Cordeiro. Seven years later, Press, who played for the Red Stars for several seasons, filed a formal complaint with U.S. soccer about her concerns that Dames emotionally abused players.
