OpenAI set to make first ad foray with Super Bowl spot: Report

The Hindu

ChatGPT maker OpenAI is expected to air its first TV commercial during Sunday's Super Bowl, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. The Super Bowl is among the world's most coveted televised events for advertisers given its huge guaranteed audience, with a premium placed on creativity as Super Bowl commercials can generate outsized buzz. The Super Bowl ad would be OpenAI's first foray into commercial advertising, the newspaper said. The price for a 30-second ad spot during the 2025 Super Bowl has gone for up to $8 million, Adweek's Chief Content Officer Zoe Ruderman said, a rise from around $7 million for a similar spot on CBS last year.
