Apple expands data encryption tools: Tim Cook pens open letter to calm privacy fears

Apple is known for its closed ecosystem and user data privacy, and now the company has created a section that details user privacy by country, security tools and also requests from various governments. Interestingly, the new page comes just weeks after Apple was accused of security breach when a celeb’s account was hacked for nude pictures. There’s also an open letter from Tim Cook talking about Apple’s commitment to privacy. We’re going to make sure you get updates here about privacy at Apple at least once a year and whenever there are significant changes to our policies,’ he writes in the letter.
