Kerala nun rape case: Allow us to live in convent, protesting nuns appeal to Pinarayi Vijayan against transfer

Kottayam Convent nuns, who protested against Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mulakkal for raping a nun, have appealed to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to allow them to live in the convent. In a letter to the chief minister, the nuns including the victim asked CM Vijayan to interfere as the transfer was a move to single them out and isolate the victim. The nuns also said they felt threatened by Bishop Franco Mulakkal who still lives under the protection of the church. Bishop Franco Mulakkal has been accused of raping a nun multiple times between 2014 and 2016 during his official visits to Kerala.
