Marredpally Vendors Back, Reopen Kiosks

Hyderabad: A couple of days after the GHMC and the SCB removed them, vendors were back at work on the footpaths of West Marredpally. Syed Ansar, a vendor running a fast food centre on a West Marredpally footpath, said, “Where do we go? I reopened my shop because I don’t have any alternative.” Making matters worse, debris from the encroachment-removal drive remained scattered across the area, bringing more trouble to pedestrians and motorists. Everyone is back to what they were doing,” said Jongi Ratnakar, a watchman at a nearby complex.
