Pop star Ed Sheeran interrupts post-game interview with new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim after Premier League game against Ipswich
ABCBritish pop star Ed Sheeran has apologised to Ruben Amorim after inadvertently interrupting the new Manchester United head coach during a live television interview. Amorim was talking on Sky Sports after United's 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Sunday — the Portuguese manager's first game in charge of the Red Devils — when Sheeran walked up to embrace analyst Jamie Redknapp. The much sought-after former Sporting Lisbon manager drew headlines when he was poached by the struggling Premier League giant United, and fans were waiting to get the new manager's thoughts. "Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday, didn't actually realize he was being interviewed at the time, was popping to say hi and bye to Jamie," Sheeran wrote on his Instagram story Monday, local time.
