Agriculture Budget: T.N. to implement Hill Farmers Development Scheme for cultivation of minor millets

Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister M.R.K. The block-level officials of all the departments under Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, allied departments like Animal Husbandry and Co-operation, along with scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, will meet 15 farmers in revenue villages to provide technical advisories and explain the schemes related to Agriculture and allied departments. The campaign will be conducted twice a month in select revenue villages, ensuring that farmers across all 17,116 revenue villages gain awareness about agricultural technologies and government schemes within a year. Mr. Panneerselvam said the Chief Minister’s Mannuyir Kaathu Mannuyir Kaapom scheme would continue to be implemented in the current year. Kalaignarin All Village Integrated Agricultural Development Programme will continue to be implemented in 2025-26 in the remaining 2,338 village panchayats with an outlay of ₹269.50 crore from State funds, benefitting approximately 9.36 lakh farmers.
