Citing insufficient evidence, CBI files closure report in Aarushi case
Having failed to crack the sensational Aarushi Talwar-Hemraj murder case, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday filed a closure report in a Ghaziabad special court pleading insufficient evidence. “After completing the investigation, the agency has filed a final report in the court for closure of the case on grounds of insufficient evidence. In the final report, all the evidence that was available and could be gathered during the probe and the gaps in evidence have been detailed,” a CBI spokesperson said, adding that since the matter was sub-judice the agency would comply with the court orders. Aarushi, the 14-year-old daughter of dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances at their Jalwayu Vihar residence in Noida on May 16, 2008.
