Wikileaks' CIA data dump: Don't panic, your phone is as secure as it will ever be, if you've updated it
The recent Wikileaks dump allegedly revealed a database of CIA hacking tools that were developed to hack into mobile devices of every type. “As we’ve reviewed the documents, we’re confident that security updates and protections in both Chrome and Android already shield users from many of these alleged vulnerabilities. The point here isn’t that Wikileaks revealed that the CIA has hacking tools and that Android and iOS are vulnerable. Even Wikileaks themselves have said that the purpose of the leaks was to “provoke a political and legal debate about the CIA’s cyber arsenal.” It’s not about the leaks.
