Zepto charges iPhone users more for fruits and vegetables compared to Android users

The Hindu

An Apple iPhone user ordering fresh fruits and vegetables through the quick-commerce app, Zepto, is charged more per item when compared to a buyer ordering the same products through their Android phone. Even in the case of a single order of four Shimla Apples, the iPhone user was charged ₹123 while the Android phone user was charged only ₹100. Upon adding the same set of fruits and vegetables to the Zepto cart, the Apple iPhone user had to pay significantly more than the Android phone user. However, the Apple iPhone user’s order was slated to arrive one minute earlier than the Android phone user’s order, even though the address was the same.
