Dutch Muslim convert released from jail pending terror case verdict

Dutch News

One of 10 defendants in a major terrorism trial in Amsterdam has been released from custody. Rudolph H, a Muslim convert, has been held at a very high security prison for over a year but will now wait for the verdict a free man. Freeing H from jail, judges said his role in the alleged terrorist group was ‘less prominent’ than claimed by the prosecution department. ‘The judge also took his personal situation into account,’ said Volkskrant reporter Janny Groen. H, together with Azzedine C and 19-year-old Erasmus University drop-out Oussama C are said to be among the most prominent Muslim radicals in The Hague’s Schilderswijk district.
