Getting a promotion at work or nailing that job interview is hard when you're uncomfortable pitching yourself. "The research is pretty clear that the more extroverted you are, the more successful you typically are at things like job interviews and rising into leadership positions," Dr Spark says. "Because has sat back and observed — they might have more insights than someone who is extroverted," Dr Spark says. "Do your homework, write a list of things you're good at, where you can contribute — especially if you're going for a job," Ms Miki says.
