Which fruit and vegetables should you put in the fridge
Shoppers were left divided over a definitive list revealing the fruit and veg that should be stored in the fridge - and what should be kept at room temperature. The graphic outlining the controversial split was shared by Facebook user John Dennehy, from Blackpool, on the Feeding a Family on £1 a Day page The post racked up dozens of comments from confused followers, who disagreed with the directions given. Agreeing, another said: 'I always put peppers cucumber potatoes sweet potatoes and garlic in the fridge'. Elsewhere many revealed that they keep their cucumbers and tomatoes in the fridge with one writing: 'I've always put my peppers and cucumber in the fridge!'. Cucumbers and avocados outside the fridge proved a sticking point for many shoppers The debate comes after researchers proved that it really doesn't matter whether tomatoes are kept in the fridge or at room temperature.
