Hyderabad: Water crisis to impact 10,000 consumers

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board managing director M. Dana Kishore on Tuesday said that the water board would compensate 50 million gallons a day from Singur/ Manjeera with water from the Godavari river, Osman Sagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs. Mr Kishore assured that the board would supply water tankers 24/7 to these areas. He said that the private water tankers which were registered with the board would sell water according to the rates fixed by the HMWS&SB and would be tracked through GPRS. Mr Kishore said that the board would spend `1.5 crore to set up mobile water treatment plants for the water supplied from the twin reservoirs.
