After Plans for 'Love Jihad' Law, MP Sets Up 'Cow Cabinet'; First Meeting on November 22

The Madhya Pradesh government will set up a ‘cabinet’ for the protection of cows, with the first meeting of this unique panel to be held on November 22 in Agar Malwa. Elaborating on the ‘cow cabinet’, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “It has been decided to set up a ‘cabinet’ for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state. The first meeting will be held on November 22 at noon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary, Agar Malwa.” Later in the day, the state government issued orders for the formation of this cabinet. CM Chouhan will be the chairman and the other five minister-members are Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Forest Minister Vijay Shah, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Sisodia and Animal Husbandry Minister Prem Singh Patel.
