Committee of Officers recommends tourism resorts at Rushikonda for setting up CM Camp Office
The HinduThe Committee of Officers constituted by the Andhra Pradesh Government to scout for a place for housing the Chief Minister’s camp office in Visakhapatnam has identified the newly-constructed resort buildings of the A.P. 2015 to identify suitable transit accommodation for setting up the Camp Office of the Chief Minister and accommodation for supporting senior functionaries, including Special Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Special Chief Secretary of Finance Department, and Secretary to Government, General Administration Department. The committee considered the importance of the Chief Minister’s Camp Office, the frequent meetings of senior officials, the residential facilities for officers and security personnel and many other administrative issues. This apart, a helipad constructed by the previous government was available in the vicinity of Rushikonda, which would be helpful for the Chief Minister and other VVIPs visiting the city, the committee observed.
