Shortly after the fires Mr Trezise signed up for support from disaster relief organisation BlazeAid, which has been rebuilding fences since 2009. Volunteer numbers dwindling But BlazeAid founder Kevin Butler said COVID-19 travel restrictions have had a huge impact on volunteer numbers, leaving many struggling farmers without support. "In two of our BlazeAid base camps we've had to have the coordinators not only run the camps but also go out there and fence," Mr Butler said.
