CPAC chair accused of groping bar patron — but no charges filed: report

Raw Story

The chairman of the American Conservative Union grabbed another person's genitals at a bar in rural Sperryville, Virginia, according to a report from the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office obtained by the local news outlet Rappahannock News. Owner Daniel Gleason called the sheriff's office and said a patron had "just assaulted another customer." The victim declined medical services and declined “obtaining warrants.” Schlapp left the bar in a BMW, reported Tom LoBianco of 24sight News, citing the sheriff's report. Carlton Huffman, a former Senate campaign staffer for Georgia Republican Herschel Walker, sued Schlapp for $9 million claiming Schlapp groped him as he drove him in October 2022.
