An already-married woman from Jammu and Kashmir married another man from Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli after connecting with him on Facebook. Her husband filed a police complaint, accusing the wife of stealing cash and gold worth lakhs. In December 2024, Abiral left her husband and travelled to meet her lover, Ahmed, and two days later, she married him. He alleged that Ahmed had misled his wife into leaving and taking valuables worth Rs 5 lakh, including gold, a mobile phone, and Rs 2 lakh in cash.
