IOC Proposes Amaravati As First Capital City to Fully Use Piped Gas

Vijayawada: Officials of the Indian Oil Corporation have proposed to make Amaravati the first “fully piped” capital city in terms of gas connections. A team led by A Raman Kumar, a member of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, met state chief secretary Neerabh Prasad on Tuesday to discuss the gas pipeline projects and related developments. Director of Andhra Pradesh Gas Development Corporation, Dinesh Kumar, said the target is to provide piped gas connections to 80 lakh people in the state. The meeting was attended by city gas distribution director Col Kumar Ashish, IOC general manager Satyanarayana and others.
