KPSC scam: Ten candidates tampered with OMR sheets to get AEE post, says sub-committee report

The sub-committee constituted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission to look into allegations of malpractices in the examination for the posts of Assistant Executive Engineers in the Department of Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation has found major irregularities with respect to 10 candidates who tampered with OMR sheets. For the first time, the KPSC had sent video clips of exams being held, OMR sheets and carbon copies of OMR sheets given to students to the Forensic Science Laboratories to verify the allegations. The committee obtained from KPSC and verified the OMR sheets, question papers, correct answers, registration numbers, marks obtained in the examination, and footage from the CCTV cameras installed at the exam centres. “The Committee had also asked all 24 candidates on the provisional selection list to produce a carbon copy of the OMR sheets.
