Narendra Modi is a PM, not a ‘shahenshah’: Sonia Gandhi trashes allegations against Robert Vadra
Raebareli: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying ‘he is a PM not a shahenshah’ and that all allegations levelled against her and family members are ‘baseless’ and part of the BJP’s campaign of a Congress-mukt Bharat. When asked about allegations that her son-in-law Rober Vadra owns benami property in London, she dared the government to conduct an inquiry ‘if it has proof’. The Income Tax department probe into the transactions of arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari has revealed that Vadra may have been gifted a benami flat worth Rs 19 crore in London in 2009. On Modi government’s mega show at India Gate to mark two years in office, she said, “Our nation is facing drought, poverty, farmer is in pain; at these times a show is not appropriate.” The Modi government had on May 28 organised a mega show ‘Ek Nayi Subah’ at the iconic India Gate in the national capital to highlight the achievements of two years rule.
